Logan traces Sabertooth to Xavier's school and after a squabble with the X-MEN he joins the mission to stop Magneto and his brotherhood. He doesn't have any interest in joining X-MEN. Throughout the film Jean and Charles helps him gather some of his memories. By the end of the film he does decide to stay (because of Jean).
