Originally from Exeter, John is the most aggressive of the 00 agents. It is probably due to the beatings he received from his father as a child. When he came of age, John ran away from home and began a life of wandering. Everything changes the day he comes to the aid of Q, the MI6 quartermaster. The latter is grateful and asks Mallory to recruit him. Since then, John learnt to control his rage and to trust others from his colleagues. They get to know this tough guy with a big heart...
