That's right. myCast.io keeps loading too long and eventually says that it's down for a minute or two. Then when you get it back, you can't see the notifications, nothing loads, and then it goes to application error. If this is happening to anyone, please reply.

Not a mod/admin, l but I am thinking it's an issue with CloudFlare as some severs (at the time I am posting this.) are showing as being re-routed.

It is happening to me as a moderator. Everytime i try to look at the moderator page to monitor new users and recently uploaded photos, it keeps crashing by redirecting me to a page that says "myCast is under maintenance" or even a white page that says "We're sorry, but something went wrong".

I have no idea what is happening with myCast, but I know I hate it!!!! Somebody should report THIS to the people who created myCast!!! There are moments here I want to say to myCast's creator "FIX THIS RIGHT NOW OR I WILL SIGN OFF!!!!!!!!!!"

That would be Billy Swift (whom I haven't seen on here in many years.) but there other admins are robbywhite, leecunningham, and parisvega whom I think this issue should be addressed to.

Update about the issue from tildeheart from this post from a few hours ago.

Bumping this to say that we've got a semblance of an update. This was posted by site admin Paris Vega on his Twitter, and it was then retweeted by the official Mycast Twitter account. (https://x.com/parisvega/status/1877836908933353709)

Hey @mycastio users:
We upgraded our servers this week to try and help with some of the downtime / crashing issues.

Hoping that helps as we keep growing.

We're also keeping a closer eye on performance to try and stay ahead of these problems better in the future.


Seems like it was server hiccups they're working on.

Update from Paris Vega.


We made another upgrade to our server stack that finally seemed to fix the recent crashing issues from our growth. Thanks for using @mycastio! Let us know if you see any more issues.

We're making even more upgrades to our servers to try and help with all the traffic. Thanks for letting us know. We're gonna keep upgrading and investigating until we fix this.

Nah it's just a cycle that keeps repeating itself unfortunately. It was working incredibly well just last night but now it's gone back to slowing down and crashing. I hope they eventually find a permanent solution cause these temporary fixes just aren't lasting 💀 😭

Maybe all of these crashing are because of the many changes the websites had during the last months.

A lot of our users on mycast have had problems loading the site latey due to our continued growth.

Update:
- Today the site seems more stable after making some changes.
- The site may perform better earlier in the day than later.
- We've removed all ads for now. Enjoy this temporary break from ads, but they may be back soon to pay the bills.
