A few updates from the admins of myCast:

1. We now have the ability to block IP addresses of users who are repeatedly creating abusive accounts. Please report these accounts using the "Report an Error" link at the bottom of the site, and we will review the account and close it/block the IP address if necessary.

2. We will be working to add more moderators to the site. If you are interested in being a moderator, let us know using the "Contact" link in the footer. We are currently finishing building some of the moderator tools.

3. New users now have to verify their email address before they can comment, make casting suggestions, or vote more than 5 times. Hopefully this cuts down on clone accounts.

4. You can now choose a category for every Person in the database - the current options are "Actor/Actress", "Production Crew", "Musician", "Fictional Character", "Historical Figure", "Politician", "Athlete", "Movie/TV Show", "myCast User", "Animal", "Other", "Report as Fake/Duplicate". If you have other ideas for categories, leave a comment on this forum post. We will be working on the ability to filter and restrict roles to only allow people from selected categories. In the meantime, please try to help categorize as many of the existing people as possible.

Second the motion for the YouTuber category that megaty777 suggested. And for us old fogies who don't know who TikTok stars are by adding one for them too.

And once again, thank you for the updates for the site as this will hopefully cut down on all the problems the site has been having.
