Tagging people on stories

Yeah, so...I tried to tag some of my friends on some of my stories. Waited a long time, then I PM'd one of em, he said he didn't get any notifications despite the fact that I mentioned him in a comment and literally never block or mute him (why would I do that?).

Apparently, mentioning other users in the comments of stories won't send any notifications to the said users now. I wouldn't even bother sending them PMs one by one for them to notice my stories, so tagging them in comments seems to be the best option. But now, idk what to do smh.

Has anyone tried this again to see whether a friend of yours got some notification about being tagged? I only got notification of someone commenting on my stories but not me being tagged by other users on their stories.

No wonder I didn't receive any notifications. Whatever happened to users receiving notifications when tagged/mentioned by others...

Still no update on this. And whenever I tried tagging someone in the comments, the site's system just delete the comment for some reason

But that only happened like once? Idk

*sigh* because of this, the only way I could notify a user to come to my story is through private messages. But hell, you can't even see new messages in the PMs, how am I gonna notify my friends?

Moreover, DM'ing ppl seems to be such a pain. Better if u mention them in the comments of your stories.

Also, I personally think that shooting a Private Message to ppl is kinda rude if u suddenly spam a story link to them. Like, some of them don't wanna be disturbed.

And I know spamming mentions to ppl is rude as well too if the person doesn't wanna interact with u and all that. But srsly, why? We didn't even mute the other users bcuz u gotta pay for that. Why didn't we get a notification when other users mentioned us in the comments or vice versa?
