New update

New update is broken website how can fix old update

did it just update today? and is everyone having issues? Cuz idk what to do to fix it, if anyone knows please let me know.

There's a lot wrong with this new style. You can't change Actors' Images anymore, and plus, my latest story got deleted for no reason.

This update sucks so much! I have so many notifications! Why wasn't I emailed about them as I usually get emails about people voting on my suggestions?!

Let us hope that there will be enough outrage with this update for it to be reversed entirely.

I dislike that new update so much! And what's worst is that my 'Scott Pilgrim EX - Voicing Acting DLC Update (Concept)' story got taken down!

And with the new update, MyCast won't let me add new talents (like characters from movies, cartoons, animals, or even dinosaurs), when I tried to add Irritator from Jurassic Park Institute. Instead, it says... "This person likely already exists. Please use one of these existing profiles instead:"

The amount of basic features that should be available for FREE now LOCKED behind a PAYWALL is BULLCRAP!

Like… deleting roles. Deleting stories. Deleting suggestions. Custom role ordering.

@teeyutes It's been on ongoing rumor thanks a WhoIS lookup that I have done in the past and with the new update it still shows the May 31st expiry date.

@hitojaf564 That is terrible. That is terrible! So many people (neither the most nor the least of whom is myself) have done so much on this website, much more than we can even remember, and all of our progress is due to be forgone in two months. No words can describe what a horrible loss this will be.

If this site is shut down, I'll be speechless... It will really upset me.

this update sucks, my two most recent stories are just gone, completely, the ui doesn't look that bad but literally everything else is pretty bad, the inclusion of ai actually just boggles my mind

they might as well shut the site down now since it doesn't function anymore can't log into my main account cause apparently the email doesn't exist so I've resorted to using my even older account which I used to plan the stories I made on it

I honestly really hate this update, especially this weird Ai Usage thing. It's almost like they WANT me to use AI. I Don't know, maybe it's just the fact I've become so fatigued about AI that people claiming that movies they don't like are AI generated makes me want to scream has made me never want to here the phrase "AI" again that is talking. Any thoughts? Also, anyone else seen their deleted stories reappear on their screen for no reason or purpose?

There's a lot of stuff i wanna talk about this update:

1. The newest stories from yesterday are completely gone, for example, my Star Fox Mario galaxy movie story: https://www.mycast.io/stories/who-should-voice-fox-in-the-mario-galaxy-movie

2. Besides not changin images on actors suggestions, the worst part is that in every story i've seen, including mine, they all now got their actor profile default image, like, imagine how stressing it would be trying to change them to the images you chose

3. Speaking of images, i can't choose the image size anymore, when i post an image, it just says that is got posted imediately like, there's not the option of changing the image size anymore

At least, I still have my Sonic ‘06 story. I think this new update site will go away soon as the old one could come back just like it did few days ago, no more bugs, no more errors, no more AI and absolutely no more anything else.

FYI, a bug: It seems all "private" stories are publicly viewable at the moment. I emailed the support, but their email account seems to be offline.

During and after the recent updates I have been locked out of and unable to sign into my main account despite the credentials such as the email/username and password being correct. Is anyone else experiencing this extremely irritating and annoying problem, is it just me, is there a way to fix this?

This update is awful, but I gotta admit the undoing votes thing is pretty good. One time I accidentally pressed no on someone's suggestion. I felt bad so I voted yes on that suggestion. Now I can remove my vote from that suggestion.

@ venom9426, I had that problem too. But it works. It's just that when you add another character to the story, there's an annoying delay, and they don't show up until after a while. Hopefully they'll fix it.

Yeah. This new update sucks. In my story, Prince of Equestria on here, the voice actors I suggested FIRST (the english ones) should be listed before the Japanese ones (I usually add in suggestions for Japanese voice actors after.) The order is all wrong. I am pissed.

I'm getting repeated errors on PC, specifically error 429 (too much traffic on the site, or suspected bot traffic). This is verifiably a direct result of the AI implementation. #fixmycast

when i was typing for an actor as a role, instead it goes to my goddamn profile

I'm so confused by the update. How do I add roles? Whenever I click on one of my stories now it either says it doesn't exist anymore or it just takes me to edit the story details.

@kujo2003 It was so much better before, what's with this layout where our casts are one below the other instead of side by side? And on top of that, there are double photos, and if we haven't put a character photo on one, we end up with the same image twice. It's awful and makes me not want to go back to MyCast.

Why aren't my suggestions on other people's stories popping up after I leave the page and come back to it? The backlog says I made them but they won't show up on the actual page...

I have a Marvel story planned, but I'm not sure I want to upload it yet in this layout. I have some characters I have no clue who to cast as. I usually leave those roles open for other users to make suggestions. This update won't let me allow others to make suggestions on some roles. I need that back.

The site isn't totally glitching as my stories seem to be there, but whenever I make a character role or cast, when I exit out and then reopen the page, they suddenly just disappear. Like WHAT?! This update is HORRIBLE!

This update sucks so goddamn much! I miss it when I get emails about someone voting on my suggestions and getting mentioned from my fellow users. I need that back!
