I have a couple of concerns, and given if recent history is any indicator, if I send it to the mods and admins, it will be buried with no solution.
The site turned seven back in May and has dealt with the spambot issues for over two years. There has to be a way to prevent this (Yeah, I know I'm repeating myself on this issue.) with the possibility of accounts becoming compromised and turned into spambots themselves in the future should there be a data breach on here (which is yet another issue that could happen one of these days.)

And my question is, why can't we use a 2-factor authenticator to prevent anything like what I said above from happening?

I agree that something needs to happen all the spam and trolls really undermines the fun of this site and make me a little concerned about internet safety.
